Vimercate Hospital

The Presidio of Vimercate boasts a thousand-year history: it was founded as a pilgrim shelter in 833 under the name "The Hospitale of San Damiano." As of October 30, 2010, Vimercate Hospital moved to its new location on Via Santi Cosma e Damiano. The new hospital complex, designed by architect Mario Botta, has three above-ground and two underground floors, with a total area of 113,000 square meters.
