San Giovanni Battista Hospital ('Le Molinette')

It’s the largest hospital in Piemonte. Inaugurated in 1935 by King Vittorio Emanuele III, it is named after the city’s patron, St John the Baptist. The nickname by which it is now known derives from the fact that it stands near the Po river, in an area (the ‘Molinette’) where there were once mills.
