Alberto Picco Stadium
The Alberto Picco Stadium, a historic sports facility inaugurated in 1919 and home to AC Spezia, is a place deeply linked to Ligurian football tradition. Named in memory of Alberto Picco, a hero of the Great War and the club’s first goalscorer, the stadium has been at the centre of an ambitious modernisation and redevelopment project launched in 2023.
The work has transformed the structure to meet modern football and hospitality standards. The project includes:
- Increased capacity to accommodate more fans.
- New roofing for the legendary Curva Ferrovia, the beating heart of La Spezia’s fanbase.
- Expansion of the changing room area.
- Complete renovation of the grandstand area.
In addition, a new multifunctional building has been erected behind the grandstand to house offices, a modern press room, hospitality area and dedicated services.
In a context of modernisation that prioritises efficiency and detail, the sports facility’s toilets have been equipped with solutions from Kariba S.p.A, a long-standing partner of AC SPEZIA.
